From February 7 to 10, 2011, more than one hundred fifty Aleemat (Muslim women religious teachers and scholars) and civil society leaders gathered for the 2nd National Conference of Muslim Women Peace Advocates. The conference featured plenary sessions with speakers from the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia and New York as well as concurrent workshops, and organizational
development sessions for the Noorus Salam network.
