Biography

Mr. Musa Mohamad SanguilaMr. Sanguila is Chairman of Muslim Sharing Skills for Peace & Development and Director of Pakigdait, a grassroots interfaith, peace-building civil society organization in Mindanao, Philippines.

He is the Director of  Pakigdait Incorporated, from 2006 to present. Doing Grassroot Interfaith Peacebuilding Programme in the communities in Lanao. Pakigdait provides “space for listening” especially the war affected areas of the Province by conducting Culture of Peace and Healing workshops, Trauma Healing sessions, Relief and Rehabilitation of the conflict affected areas. We do Maranao Language Class to Development Stakeholders and Non-Maranao speaking institutions, such as, Barangay Peace and Order Council, (Tanods, Lupons, etc)  Municipal Peace and Order Council, Elementary and High Schools, PNP and AFP in the area. And, also provide livelihood program to the war affected victims.

He has participated in the Summer Peace Building Institute of Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Va., USA, and completed a course in “Islamic Theology: Mazhab Shinazi” at Al-Mufid University, Quom, Islamic Republic of Iran.

He is a convenor of the Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy (PCID).

He finished  Bachelor of Arts, from MPA Mindanao State University, Marawi City. His fields/discipline includes Anthropology, Public Administration. Other Qualifications are Chevening Fellow, Indiana Cultural Exchange Grantee.
