Biography

Professor/Director of Graduate Studies School of Urban and Regional Planning (UP-SURP) and the deputy director of the Office of Design and Planning Initiatives in The University of the Philippines.

He is presently the corporate secretary of Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy (PCID)

Dr. Hussein Sinsuat Lidasan holds his Ph.D. and M.S. from The University of Tsukuba, Japan. Currently, Dr. Lidasan is the Professor/Director of Graduate Studies, School of Urban & Regional Planning and Research & Extension Fellow of National Center for Transportation Studies for University of the Philippines and was its former director. He has attended numerous trainings, workshops, conferences and seminars as participant, resource person, discussant and presenter. He is involved in various projects like Urban & Regional/Development Planning (mainly in the Philippines) & Transport Planning & Logistics (Philippines and ASEAN). He has published extensively mainly on transportation studies such as transport planning, logistics, transport policies, travel demand/behavior analyses and sub-regional transport cooperation.
