Last 05 February 2016, a forum on Maryam from the Islamic and Christian perspectives was held at Ateneo de Manila Univesity. The lecture-forum aims to enlighten students on who Maryam is, and how she can serve as a common icon who can foster understanding between two faiths. Speakers include Prof. Macrina Morados (UP Institute of Islamic Studies) and Fr. Antonio de Castro, SJ (Loyola School of Theology). The event was made possible by the Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy and the Loyola Schools Office of the Campus Ministry; supported by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung as part of the PCID-KAS lecture series.
